Although months from the first concert, support for Jazz In The Park is mounting.  “This is a wonderful opportunity to invite people to Birmingham’s beautiful parks.  Plus, research has shown that music has a profound effect on your body and psyche.  So I invite everyone to come out and enjoy these events,” said Birmingham City Council President Pro Tempore Steven W. Hoyt.

Jazz In The Park will showcase music styles from contemporary jazz, straight-ahead jazz to Latin Jazz and everything in between.  Scrollworks, a community music school, will perform at all of the aforementioned sites and provide on-site lessons for the young and the young at heart on an instrument of their choice.
